General Motors says Magna's Opel bid has obstacles, RHJ's is easier to accept

General Motors Co. says a bid for Opel from Magna International faces hurdles while a rival offer from Belgian investor RHJ International would be easier to accept. Writing on GM Europe's Web site, John Smith, GM's chief negotiator for the Opel sale, says Magna's bid "contained elements around intellectual property and our Russian operations that simply could not be implemented." Cop saves life of choking driver

A US POLICE officer saved a motorist in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who was choking after stopping her for driving through a red light. Officer Jason Gates realised the woman could not breathe when he approached her vehicle, so he hit her on the back to try to clear her airway. When that did not work, he performed the Heimlich manoeuvre which dislodged a piece of sausage and bread from her throat.

Nissan GT-R 2010 – Tokyo Catchup

The 2010 Nissan GT-R at the Tokyo Motor Show Nissan brought along a 2010 GT-R  to the Tokyo Show last week, so we thought we’d better update you with the changes they’ve made. Nothing too drastic, but tweaks none the less. Nissan has had a play with SatNav on the GT-R and installed a new HDD Carwings Nav system with some extra entertainment functionality.
